Root Resorption

Root resorption is a condition where the body begins to break down and absorb the tooth's structure, often triggered by trauma, infection, or orthodontic treatment. Endodontic treatment of root resorption focuses on halting the resorptive process and preserving the tooth. Depending on the type and extent of resorption, treatment may involve root canal therapy to remove infected or inflamed tissue, followed by the use of specialized materials to repair and protect the tooth. Early detection and intervention are key to preventing further damage and ensuring the tooth's longevity.

At our practice, we are experienced in diagnosing and managing all forms of root resorption, including internal and external types. We utilize the latest CT imaging technology and minimally invasive techniques to address resorption effectively. Our goal is to provide tailored treatment that preserves your natural teeth and prevents the need for extraction whenever possible.
