Root Canal Retreatment

Endodontic retreatment is necessary when a tooth that has previously undergone root canal therapy does not heal as expected or develops new issues over time. Factors such as undetected complex root structures, missed canals, or reinfection due to new decay or faulty restorations can compromise the success of the initial treatment. During endodontic retreatment, the tooth is carefully reopened to access the root canals. The old root canal filling is removed, the canals are meticulously cleaned, and any signs of infection or inflammation are addressed. After reshaping the canals, they are thoroughly disinfected and sealed with a new filling.

At our practice, we are dedicated to providing expert endodontic retreatment, utilizing the most advanced technology and techniques to handle even the most challenging cases. With the aid of high-resolution CT imaging and specialized instruments, we can navigate complex root anatomy and ensure thorough cleaning of the canals. By choosing root canal retreatment, you are investing in saving your natural tooth as the alternative treatment is typically extraction.
